I've been working a lot. Work has been quite something else. At first I felt like it was going to be too much for me to handle...and I was ready to give my 2 weeks in and just enjoy the rest of my summer w/out work, but I decided to stick through it and now I love it. I love the babies who I work with....and it's a daily reminder on why I wanted to be a nurse in the first place. I was telling David the other day how it makes me sad when I think about the kids who I take care of. They're sick kids, who stay home all day (unless going to school), have no real "parents" or even family to be around them...and when I give them kisses or hold them, it makes my heart sad and happy at the same time to see little smiles on their faces. I can't complain much (well besides the late hours I work)!
David and my 4 years is coming up too. So weird how on August 13th, 2006 we made it official. I know, call me old school for keeping track but it's something special to me :) Our anniversary actually lands on Friday the 13th Lol....that shall be interesting haha. But we're not really celebrating until the 16th due to work complications. But I can not believe it's been 4 years. I love him deeply. I'm very grateful for the little things. He makes me laugh all the time, still picks me up and carries me in public and twirls we around (lol, I get embarassed but I secretly love it haha), and still tells me I'm beautiful.
Summer has consisted of MANY MANY birthday celebrations and clubs. I told David, "You know you club too much when you don't even care what you wear to the club anymore..." lol So. Very. True. haha
I also went horseback riding again, my favorite thing in the world....
2nd semester of nursing school starts soon. I miss my classmates SO much. Can't wait to be nerds and study in the library all day with them :) hehe.
